Chapter 105: As if I’d care

I badly wanted to hit him.

My masters hadn’t even gotten to the stage where they could kiss my lips yet, but this guy was already accusing me of charming them by spreading my legs. He was so detestable that no one wanted him to be around.

But it seemed like I would have to stay calm. I needed my master’s to save me this time.

"It hurts." I groaned, squinting my eyes. "You’re hurting me."

"I thought your lips were sealed, but look at you squealing now that it hurts," he said, but then Min-Cheol slapped his hand off mine and said with a cold tone,

"You’re hurting him."

Seo-Jun frowned, looking at his hand Min-Cheol had slapped.

"And what does that have to do with me?" He asked. "He’s a slave I bought so I can do whatever I want with him. If you wanted to protect him, then you should’ve at least stopped him before he laid his weak finger on me."

Hearing this, I got mad and actually raised my fist to hit him again.

"This bastard," He hissed, but I flared at him.

"I said that hurts, you jerk. You’re not ’him’, I see that now, but then who are you?" Yes, feigning ignorance was the way to go.

After all I had done, I could just say I didn’t know who he was. Besides, respect was only given to whom respect was due.

"I can’t stand this. You said you don’t know who I am?" Seo-Jun asked, and I glazed my gaze. As if I’d care.

"I don’t think I’m supposed to know who you are," I said and turned my face away. "But what I do know is I don’t like you. You... Remind me so much of someone that I wish I could kill you."

Okay, that should be enough to give them a hint as to why I was suddenly acting like a rabid beast.

"Now, I think an introduction would suffice."

We all sat at the dining table while the maids brought out the breakfast, spreading it on the table.

Why did that guy have to join us? I felt I would have indigestion from just looking at his sickly handsome face.

Maybe I would’ve felt so much better if someone with his character was ugly, but nope, he wasn’t ugly. He was super handsome and super rich, too, so he had the arrogance to back up his rude and sadistic tendencies.

To make matters worse, he was sitting right in front of me, his red, inquisitive, and dangerous eyes on me as he tapped his fingers on the table continuously.

It was getting on my nerves.

I flinched and looked at Jin-Yeok, who was applying ointment to my bruised knuckles.

"Does it hurt a lot?" He asked with a concerned tone, but I smiled faintly and shook my head.

"No, it’s alright." I said, but Seo-Jun’s expression was that of barfing. He looked disgusted at us and said,

"I haven’t heard of any sorcery like this." He said, and I clicked my tongue.

That was because such sorcery doesn’t exist. This was pure affection. Something you would never experience in your life.

"Master," I called to Jin-Yeok. "Is it true that that person is my fourth master?" I asked, and he glanced at Seo-Jun, sighing afterwards.

"Unfortunately,"

His remark got Seo-Jun feeling irksome.

"Unfortunately? What? Are you trying to say I’m far inferior to you or something? That you’re better than me?" He asked with an irritated tone, but I sighed and turned to him.

"I apologize if I offended you, ’master’." I said in a rigid tone and an insincere tone. "But I’m still not convinced."

"Shut up! Do you think an apology will overwrite what you did to my face? And what? You’re not convinced? What does that have to do with me? When I paid big cash for you, I never asked for your understanding. I own you, and that’s all there is to it."

Min-Cheol frowned, Jin-Yeok twisted his lips, and Ki-hoon... He simply observed.

I don’t know what was going on in his mind, but he looked like he was deeply plotting something.

I do hope he was planning Seo-Jun’s downfall because this mansion didn’t seem big enough for all of us to live in.

And to think I was crying for my peace a few minutes ago, but I don’t regret my actions.

I may want to appear meek and loveable to the other three masters, but to Seo-Jun, I’d prefer it if he saw me as a threat. I couldn’t appear weak before him because that would only give him leverage to do whatever he wanted with me.

He was too unreasonable to convince.

"Jo-Pil," Ki-hoon called. "Should I call Hyun-woo over?"

Just for these minor bruises? I don’t think that’s necessary.

"He was going to come anyway," Jin-Yeok said before I could speak. "We’ll have him check Jo-Pil’s hands to make sure his bones aren’t broken."

"Hello," Seo-Jun called out for attention. "I’m the one who got mercilessly kicked and hit. I’m the one who needs to see a doctor."

"Of course you need to see a doctor," Min-Cheol said. "The Einstein facility would very much welcome you for treatment,"

As soon as he said this, Seo-Jun’s face went livid.

"What’s the Einstein facility?" I asked, and Jin-Yeok whispered in my ear.

"It’s an asylum," He said, and my lips curled up. Ah, just the perfect place for this lunatic.

"Then, should we help him pack his bags? There’s no time to waste," I said, and they all laughed, excluding Seo-Jun, who was being insulted.

"Haa, keep laughing while you can." He said. "Once I get my hands on you, I will definitely break that smile."

His threat was obvious. He was going to torture me.

"That’s ’if’ you get your hands on him." Min-Cheol said. "You’ll have to win enough smiles before you can even think of spending time with Hyung. And from the looks of it, you won’t he getting a single smile."

Oh my.

"What’s that?" Seo-Jun asked with a raised eyebrow.

"The order of spending a night with Jo-Pil is simple." Jin-Yeok said. "You have to win the most smiles from him, and depending on the amount of smiles you get from it, that’s the amount you’ll multiply by 9,999,999 and pay it right into his account."

"What? Why the fuck would I do that?" Seo-Jun asked, but they bypassed his question and continued.

"But given you won’t be getting any smiles from him, you better just opt out of the system." Min-Cheol said, but Seo-Jun couldn’t believe it.

Gosh, this made me so glad that they put up that ridiculous system. To think it would help me at a time like this.

"What sort of messed-up system is that?" He demanded to know, and Ki-hoon answered.

"That was what everyone agreed on in order to keep the peace and order. So, if you want to spend time with Jo-Pil, you’ll have to work hard to win as many smiles from him in a day. If you can’t, then" his eyes grew dark. "...forget the delusion of getting your hands on him and ’punishing’ him."

Yes, this was it. This power. I could feel it flowing through me.

He glanced at me, puzzled, and my lips curled up in the most evil, mocking grin.

There was no way I would smile at this man. No way in hell.
