" I said the team that offered me the contract was the Phillies. You are looking at the TV," Lukas said, then smilingly stood up to take the steaks from the waiter’s hand.

Annie just held her knife and fork while her mouth was still agape with shock. After some time, she took a deep breath and calmed down and started eating as well.

" You spend the entire noon and afternoon with me, and you didn’t find an opportunity to tell me such big news? Sigh! " Annie sighed deeply, then took a huge chunk of meat in her mouth, the meat was tender and full of flavor.

"So, you started in the bench, right? You won’t be playing in the team for a while, that’s why you told me so late?" Annie asked, she was just searching for something to soothe her heart.

" I am good, Luke. How is your college? You are studying hard, right"? Lukas’s mother asked in her motherly tone.
