" I am not worrying, I am working. I am working towards that goal so you don’t worry I’ll pull you guys out from that hellhole." Lukas said confidently as he watched his $50,490 on the desk.

" Alright, just don’t overwork yourself," Maggie said. She was quite worried about her son, who suddenly turned out to be a genius.

" Mom, Is Dad sleeping? " Lukas asked, he called his dad as his mother was too emotional when it came to her children.

" No, he is in the washroom. Should I tell him to call you back?" Maggie asked.

"Yes, please tell him to call me back as soon as possible." Lukas said he wanted his dad’s opinion on the contract and to shift his whole family here to Princeton.

" Should I be worried?" Maggie asked, she knew there were some things only men could talk about, so she questioned very cautiously.

"Nah, don’t worry, it’s guy stuff," Lukas casually replied, then hung up the phone.

Lukas then looked at the clock, it was just past midnight, and tomorrow is Sunday, so he just lay down, he relaxed his brain, and he fell asleep.

*Ring-Ring*

Lukas woke up when his phone rang, he looked at his phone’s display and saw it was his dad, so he received it.

"Luke, my boy, you wanted to talk with me?" Ronald’s voice came in with a boom, he was as if yelling.

" Yes, can you tone down a little?" Lukas asked, he had to take his phone away for a few seconds because of how loud his dad was.

" Yes, sorry about that. So tell me, what is it?" Ronald asked, he was not sure why his son wanted to talk with him as soon as possible.

" Yes, so are you alone?" Lukas asked, he first only wanted some counseling from his father. No matter how many times you regress, father is always father.

" No, no, wait ... yeah, now alone, tell me," Ronald said in a very low voice.

" So, promise me you won’t yell or scream," Lukas said, as the news was too big for their family, who can just barely put food on the table.

" Alright, I won’t. Wait a minute. Don’t tell me you!" Ronald’s voice cracked on the last line.

" Yes, I did it." Lukas remembered he told his father that he has unique baseball-playing talent.

" Sigh! Luke, you are so young for it," Ronald said, he sounded disappointed.

" I know, but I can do this, Dad," Lukas said confidently. He thought his dad was thinking he was weak or something and too protective.

Ronald facepalmed himself, his face was red, and he was not sure how he should break it down for Lukas, who was too eager and kind of shameless now.

"My Son Getting a girl pregnant is the last thing you should do, or I would go as far as to say you should run as soon as you see a woman," Ronald said. He was, although supportive, but this was too much.

"WHAT!!!"

" What?" Ronald replied he was trying to be as calm as possible because his kid had done something horrible.

" Dad, we are not on the same page at all," Lukas said, then he facepalmed himself, and his sleepy eyes got clearer with shock.

Ronald calmed down and asked Lukas to explain what he was trying to say, and Lukas explained how he got an offer from a major league team and wanted to join them.

" I understand, so what you are saying is you got an offer for a hundred million-dollar contract, and you waited this long?" Ronald asked, he was shocked that his son waited this long to agree.

"No, I agreed. I was just asking if I did good. And will you come? " Lukas asked politely.

" Son, Although the money is important, take care of your health. We would, of course, come to celebrate with you, and when you sign that contract. Ronald, although he said it in a calm voice and ended the call , was shocked to the core.

After ending the conversation with Lukas, Ronald went inside the house and sat on the couch. He turned the TV on and tuned into ESPN, he wanted to know more about this baseball game now.

Lukas, on the other hand, slept peacefully once again and woke at 7 in the morning, as today was Sunday, and he wanted to relax and wake up late.

After waking up, he went for a jog and did some light exercise. He came back at 8.30 and went for a free breakfast. He thought about studying, but he was not in the mood, so he thought, why not drive around and have some fun, then come back and start studying?

Lukas, after thinking this, didn’t waste any more time inside his dorm, took a shower, and left. Although there were people he needed to talk to, he decided to talk with them afterwards.

Lukas was not certain where he needed to go, but he just needed some time alone, and for a man, alone time with his own car is the best feeling ever.

The car drove forward, and he felt confident, and his mind was healing itself because of the engine sound, on his face, a smile crept up unknowingly.

A man’s best friend is a car or a horse, for me, it’s a car. I should also buy a horse when I have lots of land under me.

Lukas went wherever his eyes went and reached a place called Sergeantsville, his eyes stopped at the long fields and people.

He checked on his phone, it was 8:55 in the morning, and as it was Sunday, people were going inside a local church.

Lukas smiled, he missed the feeling of being inside a church, although he was not overly religious, but he visited church sometimes, and it felt great, it calmed his mind and helped him rethink many decisions.

Lukas just thought, ’Why not just see the inside of this old church and leave? He was here anyway.’
