Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 912: Having Strength Means Being Willful
Chapter 912: Chapter 912: Having Strength Means Being Willful
The members of the Sky Dragon Squad looked awkwardly at Xiang Yu. After all, this was the boss’s friend, and he used such a tactic—surely the boss would be feeling awkward too.
But they were mistaken. Xiang Yu was not awkward at all; instead, he burst out laughing heartily.
"Good, not bad! That move was pretty slick. Did you all see that? Learn from this in the future," Xiang Yu said, turning to the brothers of the Sky Dragon Squad.
"Heh heh..."
The members of the Sky Dragon Squad were speechless. To be honest, they hadn’t participated in many missions with Xiang Yu. Most of the stories they’d heard about Xiang Yu came from Tie Zhuzi.
Usually, Tie Zhuzi would talk about Xiang Yu like he was some sort of god. Now that they’d seen Xiang Yu so excited, they were at a loss for words.
Zhang Dongxu grabbed his opponent’s **** with one hand, squeezed hard, and crushed the guy’s egg sacs on the spot.
The man let out a few screams on the ground before fainting.
Dragging an injured leg, Zhang Dongxu hobbled slowly toward them. The men in the distance couldn’t stay calm any longer. They were in shock; this jinx had no sense of decency and blatantly ignored all the rules of the martial world.
Someone like that must be dealt with. Unable to care about single combat anymore, they all shouted and charged at Zhang Dongxu together.
Hearing the commotion, Zhang Dongxu glanced back. What he saw terrified him—a dozen men were rushing straight at him. Even as skilled as he was, there was no way he could take on so many at once.
To make things worse, his injured leg wouldn’t carry him fast enough to escape.
One of the faster runners had already caught up, closing in on Zhang Dongxu from behind.
"Jinx! You shameless bastard! I’ll avenge my brother now!" The man swung a machete at Zhang Dongxu’s head.
The only thing Zhang Dongxu could hear was the sound of wind whooshing past. His heart sank, and he cursed inwardly, "Damn it... I just crushed someone’s egg sacs, and now my head’s about to be smashed open."
But just then, a shadow suddenly rushed in front of him. The figure delivered a fierce kick, sending the attacker flying backward.
Zhang Dongxu didn’t need to look to know it was Xiang Yu. Without wasting a second, he ran to a safe spot and turned back, mouth agape in shock.
He saw Xiang Yu’s kick had launched the man seven to eight meters away, knocking over three others in the process. All three were left sprawled on the ground, unconscious.
Calm and collected, Xiang Yu stood there with his hands behind his back, enjoying the sunlight with a ridiculously smug air.
Around him were more than a dozen men, their faces filled with terror. Yet, not a single one dared to approach after witnessing that kick—they were all petrified.
Looking at Xiang Yu now was like looking at a ferocious beast. "How can this guy possess such monstrous strength?" they thought.
The Sky Dragon Squad members stared at Xiang Yu, their eyes sparkling in admiration. Before, they’d always heard Tie Zhuzi brag about how incredible Xiang Yu was.
Even though they knew Tie Zhuzi was prone to exaggeration, they’d still held out hope that Xiang Yu could live up to those boasts.
But today, they realized Tie Zhuzi hadn’t been exaggerating enough—in fact, he’d been a little modest.
Standing there, Xiang Yu looked at the man he’d kicked down. He himself couldn’t quite understand why his kick turned out so powerful.
Lately, he’d noticed his strength increasing uncontrollably.
That kick just now wouldn’t have been nearly so forceful if it had been in the past.
He hadn’t intended to intervene, but if he hadn’t acted, Zhang Dongxu would have been seriously injured.
"Scram, all of you! Don’t make me use force again," Xiang Yu said coldly, glancing at the people around him.
His glare sent chills down their spines. Remembering that ferocious kick, they couldn’t stop trembling.
Silence fell over the surroundings, the kind of eerie quiet that made their skin crawl. Suddenly, the sound of a metal rod hitting the ground rang out. Unable to hide their fear any longer, the men bolted.
Perhaps this was what they meant by "defeat breeds chaos." Everyone scrambled to run, fearing they might end up at the tail end and get caught by Xiang Yu.
Ironically, the noise that triggered their panic was just Zhang Dongxu accidentally kicking a metal rod on the ground, but the effect was profound.
Seeing that all who could run had fled, Xiang Yu finally took a deep breath and turned around, asking, "How’d I do? Cool enough for you?"
Behind him, the Sky Dragon Squad members looked at him with unwavering admiration, surrounding him like fanboys. Even Zhang Dongxu, without a hint of embarrassment, walked over and stood beside Xiang Yu, saying, "I messed up a little earlier."
The Sky Dragon Squad brothers met his statement with a round of eye rolls.
Meanwhile, back in a room elsewhere, Zhuge Xiaoming sat with his mouth wide open, staring at the screen showing Xiang Yu.
Xiang Yu’s earlier kick had shocked him so much, he nearly fell out of his chair. Luckily, he was the only one in the room; otherwise, it would’ve been quite embarrassing.
"No wonder... No wonder," Zhuge Xiaoming muttered, nodding and chuckling coldly as he regained his composure.
Now, he understood why Xiang Yu dared to charge in so boldly. With skills like that, the odds were clearly in his favor—just that one kick alone was proof that ten men couldn’t be a match for him.
"Interesting," Zhuge Xiaoming sneered with a sinister smile. Suddenly, he was intrigued.
He’d originally thought Xiang Yu to be nothing more than an overhyped, insignificant brat. But it seemed things weren’t so simple after all.
"Boss, how’d you train to get such insane strength?"
"Yeah, for real—bet that kick could take down an elephant!"
"No kidding, Boss. Why not take us on as apprentices while you’re at it?"
The squad members circled around Xiang Yu, asking endless questions. Xiang Yu shamelessly replied, "Not to brag, but back in the day, I spent twenty-five years at the Shaolin Temple. These legs of mine are known as Vajra Legs—absolutely unstoppable..."
Xiang Yu’s tale got the brothers fired up, their fists clenched and ready for action.
"How old are you now?" Zhang Dongxu asked from the side, cutting through Xiang Yu’s wild boasting.
"I hadn’t even been born, and I was already at the Shaolin Temple," Xiang Yu coughed, realizing he’d exaggerated a bit too much.
"Let’s save the story for later. Let’s move forward!" Xiang Yu shouted.
The Sky Dragon Squad members followed Xiang Yu, their eyes filled with reverence, as they moved ahead. Along the way, they continued gazing at Xiang Yu in awe.
Zhang Dongxu, meanwhile, remained more composed. He knew the closer they got, the nearer they were to Wolf Eye’s base—and the greater the danger.
Out of the group, Zhang Dongxu had the most knowledge about Wolf Eye. Wolf Eye’s organization was nothing like theirs.
Wolf Eye had once been an arms dealer with influence deeply entrenched in every city.
On regular occasions, there wouldn’t be many people at the base; most of their forces were dispatched to outside operations.
But Xiang Yu had already announced his arrival to them. The enemy would undoubtedly be prepared for this, and advancing so openly only made things easier for them.
He couldn’t comprehend Xiang Yu’s strategy, but he had no choice but to follow.
This was his first time teaming up with Xiang Yu, and he couldn’t figure out Xiang Yu’s thought process. At the same time, a deep sense of unease gnawed at him.
Word around the martial world was that he was cursed with bad luck—a human jinx. Would those rumors be proven true today?
Turning to look at Xiang Yu’s resolute face, Zhang Dongxu suddenly reached out and grabbed his arm...
