Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 925: Capturing Two Minor Characters
Chapter 925: Chapter 925: Capturing Two Minor Characters
In Gao Mantang’s eyes, there was no one in this city daring enough to provoke the Gao Family. Even if someone did, it would merely be some clueless riffraff, not worth worrying about.
Xiang Yu knew that Gao Mantang’s men were all exceptional fighters, but he couldn’t afford to relax—underestimating the opponent was never an option.
"Zhuzi, stay in the room. Xiaoxuan, head outside and maintain contact," Xiang Yu instructed.
Xiaoxuan, a sniper by training, had a high level of expertise in stealth and surveillance.
Xiaoxuan nodded and walked outside. Just as he left, a man entered the room.
The man stood with his back ramrod straight, his expression stern—his military demeanor was unmistakable.
"Reporting, Chief! Outside, we spotted two suspicious individuals. These men were skulking around for no apparent reason, their actions unclear," the man respectfully addressed Gao Mantang.
"Arrest them," Gao Mantang ordered decisively.
Xiang Yu, listening from inside the room, couldn’t help but step forward and ask Gao Mantang, "What’s going on?"
Gao Mantang, looking smug, responded, "We found two suspicious people. I’ve already approved their capture."
Not minutes after Gao Mantang finished speaking, four soldiers entered, escorting two men.
"Reporting, these are the two individuals," the soldier said sternly. freёwebnoѵel.com
The two men had shaved heads and wore tattered clothes resembling beggars, but their muscular build made it clear they were anything but.
"What were you two creeping around for? What’s your aim? Speak," Gao Mantang demanded with authority.
The two men exchanged glances before kneeling and said, "We were just wandering out of curiosity, not doing anything else."
"What’s there to be curious about here? Let me warn you—if you don’t tell the truth, I’ll cut out your tongues right now," Gao Mantang bellowed, his eyes flashing dangerously.
Standing off to the side, Xiang Yu was somewhat speechless—this old man was downright ruthless.
"We swear we’re not lying. My brother and I only came here because we heard there were a lot of beautiful women in this area, so we thought we’d have a look," one of the bald men said.
Gao Mantang considered this and found it plausible. If these two guys were single and idle, they might indeed come here to gawk at women.
"Get out of here now. Stop embarrassing yourselves. But let me warn you—if I catch you here again, it won’t be so easy next time," Gao Mantang said menacingly.
The two men quickly thanked him, got up, and prepared to leave.
"Stop," Xiang Yu shouted suddenly.
Seeing this, Gao Mantang waved dismissively with a smile and said, "They’re just a couple of nobodies—not worth our concern."
Although Gao Mantang was an old hand in the underworld, when it came to handling such schemes, Xiang Yu had the better instincts.
"Who sent you?" Xiang Yu ignored Gao Mantang and directly approached the two men.
The two men paid Xiang Yu no mind. They knew the old man was the one in charge here, and now that he’d let them go, they certainly weren’t going to listen to Xiang Yu.
They got up and were about to leave when Xiang Yu suddenly grabbed their collars and yanked them back forcefully.
Caught off guard, both men fell to the floor with a thud.
"What the hell are you doing? Why are you dragging us?!" one of the bald men shouted angrily.
"Who sent you?" Xiang Yu’s voice was ice-cold, his gaze razor-sharp as it bore into the two men.
Under Xiang Yu’s piercing stare, both men shivered involuntarily before stammering, "We really were just messing around. Don’t get the wrong idea."
As he spoke, the man glanced at Gao Mantang, hoping he’d intervene and let them go again.
Gao Mantang approached Xiang Yu, intending to speak, but Xiang Yu raised a hand to stop him. Though Xiang Yu respected Gao Mantang, business was business—matters like this couldn’t be muddled.
"If you don’t start talking truthfully, you have only yourselves to blame," Xiang Yu said, pulling out a knife as he spoke.
The blade gleamed, catching the faint light with a deadly chill that spoke of bloodshed. This knife had seen its fair share of violence under Xiang Yu’s hand.
Step by step, Xiang Yu advanced toward the two men. They backed away instinctively until, exchanging a look, they suddenly let out a yell and rushed at him.
Xiang Yu struck back swiftly, flooring one man with a kick and the other just as effortlessly. To him, they were negligible—mere low-level thugs.
Even the Heavenly Dragon Gang could send out random foot soldiers better than these two.
"Not talking? Is that it?" Xiang Yu said, then thrust his knife toward one of the men’s crotch.
The blade’s precision was terrifying—if Xiang Yu followed through, the man’s ability to enjoy life would be permanently ruined.
"I’ll talk, I’ll talk..." The man’s face turned pale, his body trembling uncontrollably.
He was utterly baffled. Gao Zhitao was the Director of the Public Security Bureau—his people were supposed to be of high caliber. Yet here he was, facing someone worse than any street thug, threatening to mutilate him. It was absurd.
Noticing his companion about to speak, the other man grabbed him and warned, "If you dare say anything..."
Before he could finish, Xiang Yu delivered a brutal kick, sending him flying, before hurling his knife, which embedded itself directly in the man’s arm.
The man didn’t even manage a scream before losing consciousness.
The remaining man stared in stunned silence, trembling as he stuttered out, "I’ll talk, I’ll talk... It’s Wang Hu who put us up to this."
"Who’s Wang Hu?" Xiang Yu pressed.
The man hesitated, confused by Xiang Yu’s question, before answering, "We met in prison. He’s a local bigshot. I heard he used to be with the Heavenly Dragon Gang..."
Upon hearing this, Xiang Yu could only roll his eyes. Wang Hu might be a notable name among small-time thugs, but to Xiang Yu, he was a nobody.
The man claimed Wang Hu had ties to the Heavenly Dragon Gang—but that was undoubtedly a bluff. The Heavenly Dragon Gang’s reputation was legendary, beyond reach for thugs like him.
Little did the man know that the true leader of the Heavenly Dragon Gang was standing right in front of him.
After the man finished detailing Wang Hu, Xiang Yu lost interest. He was certain they weren’t with the Falcon Organization.
Standing nearby, Gao Mantang’s eyes widened in anger as he asked, "Where are they now?"
The two men, who had previously thought the old man was easy to fool, now felt genuine fear at his sudden outbreak of fury.
"He’s hiding in a hotel not far from here. He sent us ahead to scout the area," the man confessed.
"Lead the way," Gao Mantang growled, his teeth clenched in rage. He grabbed the men and called for his guards as they marched outside.
Gao Mantang had no clue who this so-called Wang Hu was, nor did he care. All he wanted was to know who dared to challenge his authority.
For all the restraint the Gao Family usually displayed, anyone bold enough to provoke them would inevitably face the consequences.
Gao Mantang’s anger manifested in full tremors across his body. In all his years, this was the first time anyone had dared to stand against the Gao Family.
"Let’s see who you really are, Wang Hu..." Gao Mantang snarled under his breath.
