Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 926: He Is the King of Boasting
Chapter 926: Chapter 926: He Is the King of Boasting
Gao Mantang dragged the two men out, and Gao Zhitao, lying on the bed, finally felt relieved. Then he chuckled and said, "I thought they were some big shots, turns out they’re just two petty thugs. Now I can relax."
Tie Zhuzi felt the same way and started munching on an apple, minding his own business.
"Xiang Yu, stop standing there. Come take a rest," Gao Zhitao said casually.
Xiang Yu frowned and shook his head. "I’m guessing they’ll be back soon."
His words sounded strange to the other two.
Especially Tie Zhuzi, who trusted Xiang Yu’s instincts the most. Hearing there might be more people coming, he stood up on guard.
Gao Zhitao let out a bitter smile and said, "You’re overthinking. Those two puny thieves, my grandpa will take care of them. Relax, no one else is coming."
Just as Gao Zhitao finished, Xiang Yu’s phone rang—it was Xiaoxuan calling.
"Brother, two more people have entered. Be careful!" Xiaoxuan warned, cautious in his tone.
Tie Zhuzi overheard the call and immediately stepped closer to Xiang Yu.
Right at that moment, the door to the room was suddenly kicked open with a loud "bam".
Two masked men rushed in wielding knives, but froze for a moment upon entering.
They saw Tie Zhuzi and Xiang Yu calmly standing there with their hands behind their backs, as though they had been waiting for them.
"We’re here today to settle scores with Gao Zhitao. You two better stay out of this," said one of the masked men.
"Fuck you! Pretending to act tough here?" Tie Zhuzi shouted and charged forward.
The two knife-wielding men hadn’t anticipated this big brute would attack without a word, so they swung their knives at Tie Zhuzi.
Tie Zhuzi grabbed a nearby chair and smashed it forcefully at one of them.
One man’s knife struck the chair instead, but Tie Zhuzi’s immense strength sent both the knife and the man flying onto the ground.
The man hit by the chair didn’t even utter a sound before collapsing like a corpse.
The other man, realizing this wasn’t going as planned, turned to flee.
This man was Wang Hu. He had known there were guards by Gao Zhitao’s bedside, which was why the earlier duo came to scout. When the coast seemed clear, he and his partner rushed in with knives. But surprisingly, there were still formidable defenders present.
Wang Hu now had no fight left in him; he only regretted agreeing to Huang Yi’s plan.
Tie Zhuzi spotted him trying to escape and immediately gave chase.
Xiang Yu kicked a chair so hard that it flew into Wang Hu’s back.
Wang Hu felt a heavy blow to his back and crashed onto the floor, his teeth scattering, his nose broken, blood gushing.
Tie Zhuzi quickly walked over, grabbed him by his leg, and dragged him back.
Gao Zhitao watched the whole ordeal from his bed. He felt even more admiration for Xiang Yu.
If Xiang Yu hadn’t been there today, he might have ended up as another victim on the chopping block. The thought left Gao Zhitao drenched in cold sweat.
"Are you Wang Hu?" Xiang Yu asked, staring at the man sprawled on the floor.
"Since you know it’s me, let me go now, or I’ll kill every one of you," Wang Hu threatened, taking off his mask now that his identity was exposed.
Tie Zhuzi, seeing how cocky he was, straight-up stomped his face, knocking out whatever remaining teeth he had.
"Who sent you?" Xiang Yu calmly pulled up a chair, sat down, and stared at the man.
Wang Hu’s mouth was covered in blood, making him look like a zombie.
With a spiteful laugh, Wang Hu said, "Do you even know who I am? Back when I rolled with the Heavenly Dragon Gang, you guys were still playing in the mud!"
Wang Hu was reluctant to surrender, hoping his past affiliations would intimidate Xiang Yu.
The Heavenly Dragon Gang was a legendary presence in this city. Anyone with ties to this gang carried significant street credibility, though few had ever seen its inner workings firsthand.
Wang Hu obviously knew of the Heavenly Dragon Gang and now clung to its name to save his own skin.
Tie Zhuzi smirked to himself, proud of his gang’s reputation in the city.
Xiang Yu, unimpressed, kicked Wang Hu in the head and then stomped on his hand. "I asked, who sent you?"
Seeing Xiang Yu unfazed, Wang Hu gritted his teeth and growled, "Kid, you clearly don’t know about the Heavenly Dragon Gang. If you don’t even know them, you’re wasting your time. Listen up: the boss of the Heavenly Dragon Gang is my brother-in-law..."
Tie Zhuzi: "..."
Xiang Yu’s face darkened; Wang Hu’s ramblings were completely nonsensical. If left unchecked, there was no telling what ridiculous story might come next.
Xiang Yu applied pressure until bones cracked beneath his foot, then shifted his weight to Wang Hu’s leg, fracturing it too.
"You get one more chance to talk, or I’ll break every last piece of you—including your bird," Xiang Yu said calmly.
Wang Hu, full of bravado initially, now trembled uncontrollably under the real threat.
To Wang Hu, this young man had to be inexperienced, someone naive. He thought Xiang Yu was too green, especially considering he seemed unaware of the Heavenly Dragon Gang’s prestige—a frustrating realization for Wang Hu.
"Alright! I’ll talk! I’ll tell you everything!" Wang Hu begged for mercy.
Xiang Yu eased up, ready to hear what Wang Hu had to say.
Wang Hu, feeling slightly relieved, managed to sit up and sighed in defeat, "Fine, I’ll spill. The boss of the Heavenly Dragon Gang ordered me to kill him. The Heavenly Dragon Gang runs this city; they..."
Hearing this, Xiang Yu was speechless. Wang Hu was such a skilled liar that even now he refused to betray his real employer, instead trying to sow discord between the Gao Family and the Heavenly Dragon Gang.
The Heavenly Dragon Gang’s prominence was well-known—it didn’t need words. But here was Wang Hu, attempting to spin a web of deceit even in this dire moment.
Too bad he chose the wrong man to lie to—Xiang Yu was a master of deception himself, and to top it off, the actual leader of the Heavenly Dragon Gang was sitting right there while Wang Hu concocted lies.
Tie Zhuzi, his patience slipping, stomped Wang Hu’s face again, tilting it unnaturally.
Tie Zhuzi was strong enough on his own, but hearing Wang Hu insult the Heavenly Dragon Gang made it unforgivable.
Wang Hu, lying there, couldn’t understand why he was being beaten so brutally. What was it that he said wrong? He hadn’t even finished his sentence before the pummeling started.
Gao Zhitao, lying in bed, was also puzzled. He glanced at Xiang Yu and then at Tie Zhuzi, asking, "Can you two calm down for a moment and let him finish talking? I don’t recall ever crossing paths with the Heavenly Dragon Gang before."
