Beastmen Love-Chapter 117: A Surprise To Everyone

As much as Astri thinks it’s cute that her spouses show how worried they are, she also doesn’t like watching them a bit panicked. They always worry about her health and life during this process of delivering cubs. Many females died in the process. Even if Astri keeps her health in check, they always worry.

"Don’t worry, my loves. The water didn’t break yet. Everything is going to be alright." She tells them.

They smile calmer, remembering that they’re the ones who need to support her and not the other way around. She doesn’t want to lie down, she keeps walking knowing that it will help the process.

Her spouses take turns holding her hands as she keeps walking in circles in the bedroom. Yuki, Kai, and Elias are watching them quietly and with curiosity.

From nowhere Astri feels a sharp pain in her back and then they hear water falling on the ground, she loses the strength of her legs and then Cyprian lays her down on the bed they made just for that moment. Tyr supports her back, letting her lay back on his chest. Claud and Zin are ready for when she feels it’s time to push.

She counts the time in between contractions, but feeling like her bones are cracking, this time the delivery process was more painful than the last one.

After several minutes of feeling more pain than she ever felt before, she feels it’s time to push. Her spouses say encouraging words to try to help her. Beau and Cyprian hold her legs and Lee and Wayde hold her hands. As she keeps pushing, Claud and Zin see a head.

Astri is breathing heavily, her chest going up and down fast, tears falling from her eyes.

She takes a deep breath and pushes with all her strength, then her spouses get shocked when they see the head of a baby all out. And the rest of its body comes out easier.

Claud cleans the baby with Zin and they can see better and clearly the light blond hair on the baby’s head.

"It’s yours Claud!" Lee says excitedly.

"He smells like you! Congratulations, Claud!" Cyprian happily taps Claud’s shoulder.

Claud is impressed to see his son in front of him. He carries him in his arms, emotional, and then looking at Astri who is smiling weakly and fallen on Tyr’s arms, but so happy to see her baby too.

"Astri... You gave me a son.." Claud says, very emotionally to Astri.

"Our baby boy.." Astri speaks.

After doing the final steps of delivering a baby, Astri is taken to bathe and relax a bit while Claud and Zin give the little unicorn his first bath. Yuki, Elias, and Kai watch the baby so excitedly and with big smiles.

’He smells like father Claud!’ Kai says.

’It looks like father Claud!’ Elias laughs.

"Bab uniii." Yuki says, poking her little finger slowly on the baby’s foot, making Claud and Zin chuckle.

After they’re all clean and Astri is put on the bed, Claud takes the baby to have his first meal. They watch Astri breastfeeding the baby so in love.

"What is going to be his name?" Wayde asks Claud.

"I was thinking about.. Atlas." Claud answers.

"Atlas.. I love it." Astri says, passing her fingers softly on the baby’s head.

After Atlas finishes, Tyr is the first one to take him to burp. He enjoys that bonding moment and he can’t wait to have lion cubs too. All of them have a connection with the children even if it’s not theirs, because it’s Astri’s too.

They leave Atlas and Astri sleeping, Claud stays to keep watching his son while the others leave to prepare for winter and also some food for Astri.

"How is Lady Astri?" Galion asks Cyprian while they are cutting firewood.

"Tired. It was a baby. From Claud!" Cyprian answers with a smile and Galion is shocked.

"He’s probably melted now." Galion chuckles.

"Very much. I won’t judge."

"But now our safety needs to be kept in check always. Two unicorns and one Pegasus together is more than rare nowadays."

"I know. We will find a way. We can keep saying he’s a Centaur. And Atlas too. It’s a blessing being capable of saving their kind."

Galion has to agree. Claud was probably the last unicorn on those lands. He hopes they have more unicorns. From nowhere her spouses felt their spousal marks burning and they ran inside. When they opened the door, Kangki was on Astri’s side, passing his fingers on her head and Claud watching him, but with his hand on Atlas too.

They will never get used to Kangki coming to visit her. Even if Astri trusts Kangki, they keep trusting their instincts and keep him on watch since every time he gets near Astri their marks burn.

"She gave you a unicorn.. Lucky you." Kangki says to Claud, still passing his fingers on her hair.

"Yes.. I’m lucky." Claud answers.

Kangki can’t deny he would love to see her pregnant of him.

"Is it true that if I mate with her I’ll become her spouse?" He asks Claud, watching all his reactions.

"Yes. She’s the only one capable of controlling Nature. Even if your Nature doesn’t bond you with anything, she can make you bonded to her." Claud answers the truth, and Kangki can see that.

Kangki knows when anyone is lying and both Astri and Claud didn’t lie to him about this.

"Are you saying it would be her choice?" Kangki asks.

"Maybe. I don’t know because I never saw someone like her mating with your kind."

Another truth and Kangki sighs. He stands up and then he disappears, making everyone breathe a sigh of relief.

On the next day, Shung comes to visit Astri with Fraz and they’re happy to know she’s fine. Shung leaves Fraz talking to Astri inside the bedroom and then calls Lee outside.

"What are you doing here?!" Astri hears Lee outside.

She looks to the door and then walks outside curious. Then she sees someone she hasn’t seen for a long time, making her gasp in surprise.

"KOA?!"

He smiles happily at her and runs to her. They hug tightly and that’s when he notices she has no pregnant belly anymore.

"Where’s your belly? Don’t tell me I didn’t arrive in time." He asks.

"Yeah.. I delivered him yesterday. You arrived almost in time."

"I can’t believe it.. I did everything to arrive in time." He sadly says.

She smiles understanding his frustration, passing her hand on his hair. He smiles too, passing his hand on her face.

"I missed you.. So much." He says.

"Me too."

She brings him inside and then shows Atlas. He is impressed to see the little baby looking so much alike Claud.

"Congratulations." Koa says to Claud, who smiled in return.

"Did you know Koa was coming here and you didn’t tell me?" Astri asks Claud.

"Yes. Now I won’t need to wash the dishes or clothes for two winters." Claud smiles.

Astri giggles rolling her eyes. Claud learned to be someone independent, learned to cook, plant and harvest, but he will always like to be the book kind of person. If he can, he would not do house chores and would spend the day reading, talking to Astri and spending time with the kids.

"Come with me. All of the spouses." Lee sighs, then calls Koa and the other spouses. "I hope this is the last time we have to explain about these rules."

Koa looks at Astri confused. She blinks an eye to him and then kisses his cheek.

Koa didn’t want to leave Astri’s side. He traveled for days alone and everything he had in his mind was her. The long-distance relationship made him desire to be on her side more, but he decided to calm down and go talk to his fellow spouses and learn all the rules.

Beau being always the correct one, tells Koa the important detail of the line that if there’s a chance and Astri wants he can have her as long it doesn’t break the rule of making love with her in front of others.

"Now, please. Prevent ANY unmated male from coming close to her. Enough of spouses!" Lee speaks at the end of their talk.

"I was the next on the line. You can have my place. But we have to wait at least 20 days before mating with her again. Her body is still recovering." Claud tells Koa.

Koa nods in response.

"As much as I want to mate with her, I would never risk her health. But I would like to go back to her now." Koa says.

"Go bathe first and change clothes." Wayde speaks.

Koa goes bathe. The soaps they have there smell good and he feels freshly clean. Later he will know everything around, but now everything he wants is to be with Astri. He goes back to the bedroom, then finds Astri sewing new baby clothes and Zin tucking Yuki for a nap next to Atlas.

The others had other chores and it was Zin’s turn to stay with Astri. Koa feels the bed and it’s so soft, he moves to her side and hugs her, feeling his body relax with her warmth.

"You look tired, handsome Merman." She says looking at his face.

"I barely slept these days, wanting to arrive as soon as possible." He admits.

She taps on her lap, inviting him to rest. He rested his head on her lap and it felt like heaven. She brushes his hair and in no time he falls asleep. She knows how long it takes from the South Merman Tribe to the United Tribes, and she knows he forced himself to his limits to arrive fast. At least he’s not depressed for not seeing Atlas’ birth.

She goes back to sew baby clothes leaning on the bed headboard, and then she finds Zin’s pleading eyes and she chuckles knowing what he wants. She taps on her other leg and he quickly rests his head on her lap too, and in no time he is also asleep.
