Bone Alchemist: Necromancer of The Aberrations-Chapter 55: Reunion of the Strongest
Chapter 55: Reunion of the Strongest
"Master, what are the plans for today?" Cambela asked, wearing the expression of someone eager to live an adventure.
"Isn’t it obvious? We’ll attend the banquet at lunch."
Jeremy paused to think. He wasn’t in a rush to become stronger—after all, it was no longer just a matter of levels, but also of elevating the mastery of his law.
And to do that, he needed to test its limits, experiment with possible combinations and applications of his Law Bone and things like that. What he knew now was only theoretical, derived from the memories of Okoron Veydras.
Vivid memories, but lacking the depth that only direct experience could guarantee. Jeremy felt a fire under his skin, an urgent desire to put his new essence to the test in a real, raw, and unpredictable context.
He needed to experiment more with his power, and what better way to do that?
"This morning, I intend to go to the Guild Hall. I’m curious about the available Gates. I hope there are some Rank S ones... I’ve always been curious about those worlds made entirely of monsters."
"You can go with Aliken to study the city a bit. Something doesn’t sit right with me."
"Very well, as you wish." Cambela gave a formal nod.
Speaking of Gates, there was little to no information about them in Okoron’s memories. The existence of Gates was a mystery that only affected lower and mid-tier worlds.
And the interesting thing was that Rank S portals did not allow the entry of beings above Rank S.
So, unless someone truly powerful was present, no one could explore these rifts at will.
After all, Rank S Gates allowed the connection of two worlds, but that didn’t mean the monster world on the other side only had Rank S creatures. So one had to be very careful when entering.
Jeremy, Cambela, and Aliken met up with Victoria.
"So you’ll join me?" Jeremy asked after exchanging a few pleasantries.
"Of course, I’m curious about my power too." A smile bloomed on her face. After the ascension, she had become even more beautiful, and Jeremy noticed this detail—not that he cared.
Her appearance seemed almost ethereal, as if her skin reflected light more purely, and her eyes had gained a depth that brushed against the unfathomable. But what truly stood out was her aura—calm and vibrant at the same time.
"Great, then let’s head to the Guild Hall. I’ll follow your lead."
But just as the two groups were about to split up, each destined to carry out their tasks, the sound of an alarm exploded in every corner of the city.
A sharp, metallic roar, like a war cry tearing through the serene sky. The vibrations spread through the streets, bouncing off the marble and crystal walls of the imperial buildings.
"What’s happening?" Jeremy almost stumbled, caught off guard by the sound.
Victoria didn’t respond immediately—she was alarmed.
Something like this had only happened once before, and not long ago, when Rank S and EX Gates opened uncontrollably in the surrounding area—far more than usual. It was a call to arms.
Months earlier, the Gates had started appearing more frequently, thanks to Cambela, but just two days ago, they had exploded in number.
Because of this, the alarm was sounded.
Just like now.
"Something’s happening—" Victoria’s face turned very serious. "Something big. We need to get ready, we’ll be called to fight soon."
Hearing these words, Jeremy turned to look at Cambela.
"What is it?" Cambela’s expression didn’t change at all, as if none of this concerned her.
But Jeremy knew better—after all, it was the same woman who had told him not long ago.
The clan that wanted to capture her wouldn’t stop at anything to get her, and knowing them, Cambela had foreseen a massive invasion from their side.
However, the Stellar Ranks wouldn’t come; otherwise, the world would collapse. And they couldn’t afford that. Maybe.
"Alright then, we should head out to understand more about what’s going on," Jeremy said, looking toward Victoria.
With a nod from her, the four of them left the estate.
Meanwhile, the most important figures of the city were gathered in an opulent hall. The chairs looked like thrones, some even had unique emblems representing the families they belonged to.
The table was large and round, signifying that each figure was on the same level.
Only one throne was slightly elevated above the rest, but unlike previous times when it was always empty, this time a woman sat there.
Her aura was contained, but her presence was undeniable.
It felt like the space around her had been compressed. As if the air had recognized her supremacy and was holding its breath.
The strongest human to have ever lived, Yvanna Sarial, the only daughter of Emperor Ydra Sarial.
Around her, many other figures could be seen, their auras all powerful and imposing, some more than others. Each of these figures represented something different.
But if there was one thing they all had in common, it was their Rank.
All of them were Rank EX.
Next to Yvanna, to her right and left, were the two imperial consuls.
Following them were the four heads of the noble families, including Victoria’s grandfather, Lord Felicitas Amabel, whose robe was mostly bright yellow with the symbol of a lion with a shimmering mane.
There were also other prominent figures, such as the old man from the Velvet Lotus, The Immutable, the head of the Mirage, the head of the Guild Hall, and others.
But despite the presence of so many impressive individuals, the atmosphere wasn’t too serious.
"Why have we gathered this time?" A nearly disdainful voice broke the silence. It belonged to Lord Xetuh Gula, head of one of the noble families.
"I hope it’s something serious this time—" Boss Crev Posqu, head of the imperial shop, the Mirage, spoke with an indifferent tone. His figure gleamed, adorned with treasures of every kind.
Other voices joined in, some more provocative, others trying to establish some order, but all fell silent after a simple cough from the central figure in the room.
"Now that I have your attention," Yvanna began to speak, her tone calm and composed, as if she wasn’t about to drop a bombshell. "Our world has been invaded by forces beyond our level."
