Bone Alchemist: Necromancer of The Aberrations-Chapter 56: Starting of the Fight
Chapter 56: Starting of the Fight
All the humans were alarmed by the devil’s words. These beings with human-like appearances, very similar to them but with clear differences, were capable of speaking their language.
"Look at their faces, they’re scared," said another.
"But it’s not their fault, after all, they’re so weak."
More and more voices, one after another, began to speak and mock the humans.
But after the initial shock, Lord Vorp Victus stepped forward, releasing his aura completely.
"To be honest, I expected more."
Silence fell.
"I’m disappointed... disappointed by your weakness. Don’t tell me this is all you’re capable of," he added.
"Sure, sure. After all, you’re frogs in a well. I understand your point of view," said one of the Rank EX devils, taking a few steps forward.
"But I warn you." His expression became threatening as he looked at all of them. "We’re not interested in your pitiful world. We’re here to retrieve something that belongs to you."
After that, a hologram appeared before all of them. It showed the features of the woman named Cambela.
"Cambela, am I right?" Lord Xetuh Gula asked with curiosity, approaching Lord Vorp Victus.
"Exactly, but judging by your expressions—" the devil replied regretfully. "Either you have no idea who she is, or you’re hiding her and all of you are excellent actors."
"But it doesn’t matter, she’ll come out," he added with a wave of his hand.
Aside from a few special figures, the Ebonveil are a clan specialized in the concept of Darkness.
And all the devils here were masters of that power. There were many nuances, but the essence of their power remained the same.
Light itself seemed to retreat around their bodies, as if reality refused to illuminate them. Their cloaks waved in a liquid shadow, and their eyes were two bottomless pits.
The moment those words were spoken, the devils behind him unleashed their attacks.
But the humans were more numerous and, honestly, not too frightened.
Their arrogance came from their strength, which had increased by a great margin in recent months.
The battle broke out, but it didn’t explode immediately. The beginning of a clash always starts with understanding the opponent.
After the first initial blows, the differences were clear.
The bodies of the devils were vastly superior to those of humans. From a physical standpoint, there was no room for a fight—unless the power in question was based on the concept of physical strength.
On the human side, there were 22 Rank S fighting against the 10 devils, a 2:1 ratio. Even so, they weren’t gaining the upper hand but seemed evenly matched.
As for the Rank EX, only the one who seemed to be the leader of the group didn’t participate in the battle, to keep the fight balanced.
It was 9 vs 9. But again, the humans didn’t seem to have the upper hand.
Explosions of energy echoed like war drums, and every impact shook the air, making the ground tremble and distorting vision like a feverish dream.
Sure, no human was going all out—but the same went for the devils.
Yvanna and her consuls weren’t present in the battle. They had other matters to deal with.
Judging by the information they were receiving in real time, they knew that more enemies were coming.
Meanwhile, Jeremy and the others were off to the side, away from the battlefield.
"That’s all?" Jeremy asked, genuinely surprised. He hadn’t expected so few enemies.
"Of course not." Cambela’s voice was firm as she contradicted him. "There are many more, but they’ve split up. After all, their goal is to find me."
Despite her unique power, Cambela couldn’t face this threat.
"Better this way, it wouldn’t have been fun otherwise." A smile slipped from the boy’s lips.
His fingers moved slightly, and from beneath his robe, faint dark spirals began to emerge—remnants of the necrotic energy that always accompanied him.
These days of calm were boring him, in truth. Even though he wanted to relax, he also wanted to kill. He longed to grow his army of the undead.
But he didn’t jump into the fight right away. He wanted to get to know his future "allies" better.

The fight between humans and devils continued for several minutes without any twists, until Lord Andreas Forpl, tired of the disadvantageous situation, unleashed all his power.
The air vibrated around him as the sky itself seemed to respond to his growing fury. Flames spread in every direction, like ravenous tongues, devouring even the surrounding clouds.
But the devil was not caught unprepared. Around him, a curtain of darkness, dense and heavy, protected his body. Not even a slight redness could be seen on his milky white form.
"Is that all?" he said sarcastically. Then, from the curtain of darkness surrounding him, something emerged.
A blade, twice the size of the devil, appeared between his hands. Its surface seemed made of a solid black liquid, wavering as if alive, emanating an evil energy.
"That was just a sneeze," Lord Andreas Forpl replied. "Taste this."
The palms of his hands came together. Then, with extreme speed, he opened his arms wide, one upwards and one downwards.
A powerful wave of fire manifested before him and rushed straight toward the devil.
"Not bad."
Then, raising the sword above his head, the devil unleashed a blow made of darkness directly against the wave of fire.
The attack devastated the area around them. Clouds of dust and debris flew in all directions, but this could not hide what happened.
The dark slash of the great sword had prevailed over the man’s fiery strike.
But Lord Andreas Forpl had managed to dodge the devil’s blow without trouble and, despite being defeated again, he was not disturbed. He had much more to give.
A cocky smile formed on his face as he clenched his fists with renewed determination.
The same was happening on the other battlefields.
After seeing Lord Andreas Forpl unleash all his power, the others followed suit.
Fortunately, the war zone between the two races had long since shifted to the sky, so the shockwaves from their clashes could not be felt in the cities.
In the sky, the fights looked like comets crashing into each other, exploding in bursts of light and sound that flickered across the entire horizon.
The clash between the two sides continued relentlessly for several minutes, but one thing was clear.
The devils were superior.
