Chapter 541: 541. Rain

Dylan looked at the scene in front of him and sighed.

After the two of them interacted with Alicia for a period of time, they knew very well that there were limitations in Alicia’s ability. Not to mention, what Alicia saw was not definitely something that would happen, but it could be changed.

Besides, there was no guarantee that Brenda’s ability was the same as Alicia.

After all, there were many people with the same elements but the application of their elemental abilities were all very different.

This could also be applicable for Brenda, which meant that her ability might be different from Alicia.

But how different?

No one knew.

And no one was interested in it.

Brenda had died and no matter what her ability was, it was no longer important.

"Are there anyone from the Davis Family who escaped?" Dylan turned to look at Anna. He was ready to use his ability should Anna say that there was any.

"No. The military had already surrounded this place," Anna replied. The feedback given to her by her vines allowed her to know that the base was already prepared to deal with this matter and clean up the rest of the traces.

As for how it would be in the future, it was not Dylan or Anna’s business.

The two of them also had no intention to go over and check.

"Then, shall we leave too?"

"Yes."

"Meow."

The three of them slipped away. Their task was only to make sure that no one escaped.

As for Sean...

It would be up to the three leaders to deal with.

...

Sean was thinking about Brenda’s words.

Unfortunately, he didn’t manage to find anything around Brenda. When a space ability user died, the things in their space would be destroyed and all that left was a bunch of dust and dirt around the body that seemed to appear out of nowhere.

Because of this, it was impossible for them to find any trace of what Brenda said to him before.

He couldn’t confirm whether it was the truth or not.

But it didn’t matter.

He had finished his revenge and now, he was looking at the two leaders who came to see him. Since he caused such a chaos, the two military leaders, Uncle Matthias, and Second Uncle Kenan came personally.

"Sean, I hope you can give us explanation," Second Uncle Kenan said with a frown. Looking at the mess behind Sean, Second Uncle Kenan felt headache.

He knew that if they didn’t settle this matter, the loss of countless awakened people would be a big blow for the base. There was still the threat of big mutated animals out there and this was truly not the time for them to engage in internal conflict.

"You’ve seen what I did and I have no excuse." Sean took a deep breath. "I’ll be stepping down from the leaders’ position and lead my men to kill big mutated animals to cover up the expense. The rest of the expense can be taken from the Davis Family."

He knew very well that when he did this, he would have a fallout with the other three leaders.

After all, who would want to be with someone who might stab them in the back.

It was just that Sean was also very resolute about this and would not let these two to take advantage of him. Anyway, he had the plan that if he could survive, he would repay them through killing those big mutated animals out there.

Anyway, Sean believed that with his strength, he would be able to thrive and live.

Uncle Matthias and Second Uncle Kenan looked at each other and then nodded. "Alright, if that’s what you said. We’ll discuss the specific after you have recover."

With Sean’s current situation, it would be better for the young man to recover.

Sean nodded and walked away.

Only a few seconds of walking, there was thunder in the sky and then rain started to fall. It seemed to signal that the battle was now over.

Looking at the rain, some people were confused.

Because they knew very well that it hadn’t rained at all in the past year after the previous flood. Looking at the long awaited rain, some people sigh in excitement while the others were worried about whether it would repeat the same tragedy.

No matter what, they had to be prepared.

"Do you want to hold him accountable?" Uncle Matthias asked when he saw Second Uncle Kenan still looking in Sean’s direction.

"He had caused so much chaos here. Do you really think that I’ll leave him off so easily?" Second Uncle Kenan snorted.

The problem for them was not only the loss of the awakened due to the conflict between the Davis Family and the Mason Family, but also the destroyed buildings in this area.

It had consumed a lot of their resources.

Second Uncle Kenan felt his heart was bleeding when he thought that he would definitely suffer in the future because a lot of resources have to be diverted for reconstruction and so on.

But there was nothing that they could do.

This time, it was indeed a bit problem and Second Uncle Kenan could only accept this matter helplessly.

"You can arrange his task later," Uncle Matthias said lightly. He was looking at the scorched area and sighed.

To be honest, he really hoped that everyone could unite and fight against the big mutated animals and this apocalypse together. But humans’ hearts were the most unpredictable.

He couldn’t have guessed that they would do something like this.

"You’re really carefree." Second Uncle Kenan snorted.

Uncle Matthias smiled and turned around. "I’m going to see Darien first. You can go back to do your work."

"Leave your men here to help." Second Uncle Kenan snorted. This annoying Uncle Matthias was really not serious at his work from time to time and could only leave it to him to do the clean up.

"Ok, ok, ok."
