Married For Now-Chapter 126: HYUNG-DONGSAENG
Chapter 126: HYUNG-DONGSAENG
AH, SO Heedo wants to talk to my mother alone?
Sohee knew that it was because Kim Heedo probably thought he couldn’t handle it anymore since he cried.
Well, to be fair, he was really about to walk out.
But he changed his mind now that his husband was here.
"I’ll stay here," Sohee said, quickly wiping the tears off his cheeks with his hands. "I’m alright, Heedo-ya. I was just a bit overwhelmed."
"Are you sure, Hyung?"
"Yes, so sit down."
"Alright," Kim Heedo said, and then he sat down on the chair next to Sohee. "Can I introduce myself to... this person, Hyung?"
Oh.
Kim Heedo didn’t acknowledge Sohee’s mother.
He just called her ’this person.’ It’s still somewhat polite, but I can tell that Heedo is trying to distant himself to my mother. Is it because he saw me cry?
Aww, that was touching.
"You may do that, Heedo-ya."
"Thank you, Hyung," Kim Heedo said, and then he finally faced Sohee’s mother. "Hello, ma’am. My name is Kim Heedo, and I am Sohee-ssi’s husband."
Oh.
It wasn’t the first time, but Sohee still blushed after Kim Heedo introduced himself as his husband.
Will I ever get used to this feeling?
"Husband?" Sohee’s mother asked, and then she turned to Sohee with questioning eyes. "You’re already married?"
"Yes, ma’am. I’m married to this wonderful Alpha," Sohee said proudly, putting a hand on Kim Heedo’s arm. "Thankfully, my husband doesn’t see me as a burden just because of my Secondary Gender."
Kim Heedo, who obviously understood what Sohee meant by those words, immediately frowned.
Now he knows why I cried.
"You seem to be living a good life," Sohee’s mother commented, her voice still distant. "So, why did you still insist on meeting me? Do you want to curse at me? If that’s what you want, can you at least wait until my son is awake?"
Sohee already told himself not to let his mother’s harsh words affect him, but it was easier said than done.
I guess you have to be this cold in order to abandon your son.
"Ma’am, please don’t overestimate your worth to my husband."
Hmm?
Sohee looked at Kim Heedo in disbelief.
His husband was a bit rude, but he didn’t find it offending.
I know Heedo is being like this because of me.
"It’s true that Sohee-ssi has things he wants to ask you out of curiosity, but that’s it," Kim Heedo said sternly, looking at Sohee’s mother straight in the eyes. "The main reason we wanted to meet you was because of Go Gunjoon-ssi’s case."
The cold façade of Sohee’s mother cracked when her other son was mentioned.
Sohee didn’t want to admit this, but he felt a pang in his chest when his mother showed concern for Go Gunjoon.
It’s clear to me now— my mother has only one son and it’s not me.
"What about my son?" Sohee’s mother asked worriedly. "Why are you investigating the case he’s currently involved in?"
"It’s something that we’d like to discuss in Go Gunjoon-ssi’s presence."
"My son isn’t awake yet."
"Go Gunjoon-ssi already woke up yesterday."
Sohee enjoyed his mother reaction— she went from looking shocked to terrified.
I’m starting to become a bad person, huh?
"We also know that there was a robbery at your house last night," Kim Heedo said, dropping another bombshell that made Sohee’s mother turn pale. "But the "thieves" only stole random things with no real monetary value, as if they were just trying to make it look like a burglary. But, in reality, those "thieves" went through Go Gunjoon-ssi’s room as if they were looking for something."
Sohee only found out about that this morning.
Heedo told me while we were on our way here. He said he received the report while I was sleeping last night. And he didn’t wake me up since he didn’t deem it important since no one got hurt in that "robbery."
"How did you know all of this?" Sohee’s mother asked, horrified, while her pupils were shaking from fear. "Who are you?"
That question was specifically directed at Kim Heedo.
It seems like my husband scared my mother.
"Let’s talk again once Go Gunjoon-ssi is ready to talk to us. Please tell your son that we can help him with this case because we have the same enemies," Kim Heedo said, and it was clear to Sohee that half of what his husband said was a lie. "You can contact us here once you made a decision."
Kim Heedo then placed a business card on the table.
It was his work phone number and not his personal phone number.
Ah, Heedo is putting my mother at arm’s length.
And rightfully so.
"My husband and I are busy people, so I hope you make a decision soon, ma’am," Sohee added. And it was true that they were busy. They still had to attend university, after all. "Have a good day."

SOHEE found himself being comforted by Kim Heedo as soon as they got in the car.
His husband pulled him until he was sitting on his lap.
Of course, Shin Kang gave them privacy by not only pulling up the divider— but also by stepping out of the car to have a smoke break.
"How about Hong Sera, Heedo-ya?"
"I asked her to return first," Kim Heedo said, wrapping his arms around Heedo’s waist to secure his position on his lap. "Don’t worry about her, Hyung. She has her driver and nannies with her."
"It’s not that. I just feel bad that I didn’t get to talk to her when she came all the way here to support us."
Of course, Sohee could just send Hong Sera a message anytime.
But I still wished I could have said thank you in person.
"Ah, Hong Sera told me you must "spill the tea" later, Hyung. She said she’ll be waiting with Cho Euntak."
Sohee chuckled. "Yeah, that sounds like something Hong Sera would say."
"Are you feeling better now, Hyung?"
Hmm.
Honestly?
I feel like shit.
"My mother said she went back for me once," Sohee said, leaning against Kim Heedo’s chest while closing his eyes. Listening to his husband’s heartbeat soothed him somehow, so he appreciated that position even more. "But she said she changed her mind when she found out that I manifested as an Omega. Apparently, she couldn’t handle it because having an Omega son was expensive and bothersome. She didn’t want to be responsible of protecting me from Alphas who might prey on me."
He felt Kim Heedo freeze as if he couldn’t believe what he had just heard, but he soon relaxed when Sohee began massaging his hand.
I hate it when Heedo gets stressed out because of me, but I’m happy he chose to stay.
"Hyung, it wasn’t your fault that you manifested as an Omega. And there’s nothing wrong with being one," Kim Heedo said carefully. "The people who find your existence a burden just because of your Secondary Gender are people who don’t deserve you."
Aww.
Kim Heedo’s words were short and sweet.
I appreciate it.
"Thank you for saying that, Heedo-ya," Sohee said sincerely, kissing Kim Heedo on the check. "When did you grow up so much that you’re the one comforting me now?"
"You raised me well, Hyung. I became like this because I aim to be half as good of a person you are."
"Aww."
"I mean it, Hyung— you really inspire me to be a better person."
"Right, and I believe you," Sohee said, raising Kim Heedo’s hand until it was near his lips. Then he gently pressed his lips against his husband’s knuckles before lifting his head to meet his heated gaze. "That means you’ll try to be less violent, right?"
Kim Heedo slowly avoided Sohee’s gaze. "As long as Hyung isn’t hurt, then I have no reason to be violent."
Aigoo.
I better not get kidnapped again.
"Should we visit Shaman Jung during our day-off?" Sohee asked. "I have so many questions for him. You said he can’t still leave his temple, right?"
"Yeah. Shaman Jung can’t leave his temple, and he’s not replying to my messages anymore."
"Is it normal for him to suddenly lose contact?"
"Yep, and we’re already used to it. There are times when Shaman Jung needs to be locked up in his temple to pray."
Sohee was about to say something, but he got distracted when they hears a knock on the window.
It was Shin Kang.
Kim Heedo sighed before pressing the switch on the door panel to roll down the window. "That better be important, Ahjussi."
"Yes, sir," Shin Kang said before handing Kim Heedo a phone. "You got a call from Yoon Sumi-nim."
Sohee’s ears perked up. "My mother already called?"
It hasn’t been thirty minutes yet since we ended our conversation at the café...
***
ARE BETAS usually this good-looking?
Sohee wasn’t saying this just because Go Gunjoon was his half-brother.
But damn.
The kid inherited his mother’s pretty genes.
To be honest, Sohee didn’t expect to meet Go Gunjoon right away.
But here he was now— standing in front of his half-brother who was sitting on the hospital bed, looking at him with a blank look on his face.
Thankfully, Heedo is here with me.
And, fortunately, Sohee’s mother gave them some privacy.
"I’ll be honest with you, Hyung-nim," Go Gunjoon said politely while looking at Sohee. "I just found out that I have a brother. But I’ll be shameless and ask for your help first before talking about our family. Can you really help me prove my innocence?"
Kim Heedo turned to Sohee and "whispered." "Hyung, the kid is just as blunt as you."
Right?
Being blunt wasn’t always a bad thing.
And the conversation will flow smoothly like this.
Yeah, forget about a dramatic reunion.
This case comes first.
"We will help you, but not for free," Sohee said sternly. "Go Gunjoon, you have to tell us everything first if you want us to help you— we need to know every single detail about how you got involved in this drug scandal."
"Then we have to start at the very beginning," Go Gunjoon said bluntly. "It all started last year when I caught Jung Byeol Sunbae in the act."
Huh?
"Jung Byeol?" Kim Heedo asked, confused, while tilting his head to one side. "That name sounds familiar."
"It’s a common name, but the Omega kid who attacked you was named Jung Byeol, too," Sohee reminded his husband, and then he looked at his half-brother with knitted eyebrows. "Go Gunjoon, do you have a picture of this Jung Byeol sunbae of yours?"

PFFT.
Sanha chuckled while reading Park Sohee’s reply to a user ’bornhater333.’
It’s Lee Junsu’s burner account.
Yes, he knew Lee Junsu’s secret accounts that he used to leave hate comments.
And, yes again, he was also stalking Park Sohee’s social media account using his own burner account.
Park Sohee seems like a fun dude. Should I befriend him?
Sanha was bored since it was his day-off, so he kept using his phone while sprawled on the sofa.
Should I order chicken for lunch?
He wanted to visit Lee Junsu and see if his boyfriend had already recovered, but unfortunately, he had a guest he was waiting for.
"Hyung, I’m here."
Sanha lifted his head and smiled when he saw his cousin’s bright face. "Welcome, Byeol-ah."
Jung Byeol— his cousin who was now a college freshman— removed his baseball cap, showing off his pretty face. "Hyung, is it true that you asked everyone to stop distributing miracle pills in the meantime?"
"Yeah. We only use those miracle pills to gather information about the chaebols that run our country. It’s not like we’ll go bankrupt if we halt our operations temporarily," Sanha explained to his younger cousin. "Why? Didn’t you already wash your hands from illegal drugs to have a normal college life?"
"Yes, but there’s a hoobae who got fucked up because of the traces I left."
"Are you going to get in trouble because of that hoobae?"
"Only if he opens his mouth."
"Then do you want me to get rid of that person?"
"No! Don’t touch him, Hyung!" Jung Byeol protested firmly. "I cherish that hoobae."
"What do you want me to do then, brat?"
"Let’s help him, Hyung."
Sanha knitted his eyebrows. "How?"
"Do you have dirt on Mayor Kang Doosik, Hyung?" Jung Byeol asked. "We need to blackmail that stupid mayor to save Go Gunjoon."
