<"I’M NOT going home— I’m headed towards where you are.">

Kim Heedo let out a sigh.

I knew I should have sent a message to Sohee Hyung first before sending Ahjussi to pick him up.

But then again, Park Sohee was quick-witted.

Whether Heedo sent his husband a message or not, he would still get caught.

<"And don’t even think about scolding Mr. Shin later. I was the one who grilled him for answers. Not that Mr. Shin snitched. In fact, he only said that you and Kim Hanhae were in the hospital. He didn’t tell me why.">

"I won’t scold Ahjussi, so don’t worry about him, Hyung," Heedo assured his husband. "I was the one who told Ahjussi to be honest if you asked where I was anyway."

Even though he didn’t want Park Sohee to worry, he didn’t want him to worry either.

Hyung will know I fought with Kim Hanhae sooner or late, so it’s better to let him know in advance. I was just hoping that Hyung wouldn’t find out right away.

But what could he do?

My husband is quick-witted.

"Are you not drunk, Hyung?" Heedo asked worriedly. "That’s the reason why I didn’t want you to find out what happened. I was worried you were drunk, so I wanted you to go home first. But I was planning to come clean to you as soon as I was home."

<"Don’t worry, I’m not drunk. I didn’t drink that much since I had to console the kids.">

Hong Sera and Cho Euntak?

Those kids cried again?

<"By the way, Heedo-ya. Can Hong Sera really hold her liquor well? I volunteered to take her and Cho Euntak home. But she said she still wanted to drink. She also said that she’d send Cho Euntak home later, and Cho Euntak agreed since he wanted to drink more. I was in a hurry, so I left the kids instead of insisting that I take them home. "Even if Hong Sera gets drunk, she’ll be fine. She has her shadow bodyguards with her all the time."

Heedo waited for Park Sohee to hang up first.

"Done?"

"Yes, Hyung," Heedo said, putting his phone in the front pouch of his hoodie. He talked to the doctor casually because it was only the two of them there. "Sorry for making you wait."

"No, it’s alright," Seong Kyungmin, the Dominant Alpha doctor, said. "The result of your test has just come out anyway."

Right.

Heedo was in the hospital for a different reason.

That was why he was in Seong Kyungmin’s private office instead of staying with Kim Hanhae and Kim Haewon.

"Is there something wrong with me, Hyung?"

"The level of your pheromones increased significantly, Heedo-ya," Seong Kyungmin said while tapping his fingers on the table lightly. The doctor would often do that when he was using his brain to its full capacity. "And it’s even higher than when you are in a rut."

Heedo knitted his eyebrows. "I don’t understand, Hyung."

"Neither do I, kid."

"Huh?"

"It’s normal for our pheromones to increase when we are in a rut since that’s the reason why we have a higher sexual drive. And, well, it also increases our physical strength since Alphas have the instinct to dominate, especially during our "mating" season," the doctor explained. "But you’re not in a rut, and you’re completely normal. Yet your pheromone level isn’t dropping."

"Then there might really be something wrong with me."

"No— it’s actually more like you’re evolving."

"Do I look like a P*kemon to you, Hyung?"

"Of course not. P*kemons are cute— you’re not."

"I have to let you know that Sohee Hyung finds me adorable, Hyung."

"Park Sohee-ssi is blinded by love, so his opinion doesn’t count," Seong Kyungmin said bluntly, and then he casually dropped a bombshell. "I think you’re turning into a Hyper-Dominant Alpha, Sohee-ya."

Bullshit.

Heedo was waiting for Seong Kyungmin to say the punchline because he really thought that the doctor was only joking.

However, it didn’t happen.

"Hyung, are you for real?" Heedo asked in disbelief. "Hyper-Dominant Alphas don’t exist."

"We don’t have proof that they exist, but we also don’t have proof that they don’t," Seong Kyungmin said, and then he leaned against his chair while looking at Heedo as if he wanted to dissect him right then and there. "Heedo-ya, would you like to conduct a secret experiment with me?"

"SOHEE OPPA, can I ask you a personal question?"

"Go ahead, Haewon-ah."

When Sohee arrived at the hospital, Kim Haewon picked him up at the lobby.

Apparently, Kim Heedo was having a consultation with Dr. Seong Kyungmin. And Kim Hanhae was in the VIP Room with a bodyguard.

Apparently, my mother-in-law and father-in-law already left the house when the "incident" happened. Since Kim Heedo are with the twins, he told his parents to not make a fuss and just enjoy the party.

"Sohee Oppa, are you and Heedo Oppa dating for real now?"

Ahem.

Sohee almost choked on his coffee.

Actually, he was wondering why Kim Haewon brought him to the hospital’s café instead of Kim Hanhae’s room.

But now I know.

"What do you think, Haewon-ah?"

Kim Haewon sipped his strawberry matcha first before looking at Sohee straight in the eye. "I think your relationship with my brother is genuine now."

"What made you think so?"

"Heedo Oppa almost killed Kim Hanhae."

Since Sohee knew how to read between the lines, the realization instantly hit him.

So, the brothers fought because of me.

"Kim Hanhae probably said something bad about me that made Kim Heedo mad."

Kim Haewon flinched, but she nodded hesitantly. "I won’t repeat what Kim Hanhae said because it was unspeakable, but you’re right, Sohee Oppa. Kim Hanhae said something bad that made Heedo Oppa mad."

"Haewon-ah, your older brother is a good person. I’m sure he’ll get mad on my behalf whether we’re dating or not."

"Yes, you’re right, Oppa. But you didn’t see Heedo Oppa earlier. That’s the first time I saw him that angry. Heedo Oppa didn’t even release that kind of awful scent when Grandfather threatened Lee Junsu Oppa in the past. Heedo Oppa’s anger is different this time." Kim Haewon hugged herself while rubbing her arms. "I’m an Alpha myself. But when I saw Heedo Oppa’s face when he was breaking Hanhae’s shoulder, I thought to myself: "Ah. This person isn’t a human— this is a real Alpha.""

Sohee knitted his eyebrows. "Kim Heedo broke Kim Hanhae’s shoulder?"

"Oops."
