Married For Now-Chapter 87: UNPLEASANT MEMORY
Chapter 87: UNPLEASANT MEMORY
"YOU BROKE Kim Hanhae’s shoulder? Are you crazy?"
It took all the patience that Sohee had not to raise his voice at Kim Heedo.
Well, it wasn’t like he could yell at his husband who was trying to look like a kicked puppy while drinking his iced coffee quietly.
Acting all innocent now, huh?
After Kim Haewon’s slip of the tongue earlier, his sister-in-law escaped and said she’d inform Kim Hanhae that Sohee had arrived.
Then Kim Heedo’s consultation with Dr. Seong Kyungmin ended.
So, here they were now.
Having a serious conversation in the hospital’s café.
"Kim Haewon said she thought Kim Hanhae’s shoulder was only dislocated. But when you arrived here, you found out that Kim Hanhae’s shoulder was actually broken and not just dislocated," Sohee said, leaning against the chair while crossing his arms over his chest. "Why would you do that just because your brother said a few mean things about me?"
"What did you hear from Kim Haewon, Hyung?" Kim Heedo asked in a cold voice, his face darkening. "Did she tell you what Kim Hanhae said?"
"No, she didn’t. Your sister said it was unspeakable. But it’s not that hard to figure out what Kim Hanhae might have said about me. Your brother probably said I was just a lowly Omega who sold his body for money, so I didn’t have the moral high ground to meddle on his personal affairs."
The way Kim Heedo flinched confirmed Sohee’s speculation.
Bull’s eye.
"Don’t worry, Hyung— I made sure Kim Hanhae wouldn’t speak about you that way ever again," Kim Heedo promised. "I didn’t mean to break his shoulder. But I don’t really regret it, Hyung. If Kim Hanhae said something like that about you again, I might end up breaking his face next time."
"Must you really resort to violence?"
"The unspeakable things that Kim Hanhae said about you were more violent than me breaking his shoulder accidentally, Hyung."
"I get that, and I’m grateful that you stood up for me," Sohee said carefully. "But please remember that Kim Hanhae is still young. Have more patience and empathy when dealing with your baby brother."
"..."
"Why aren’t you answering, Kim Heedo?"
"Hyung, hearing Kim Hanhae bad-mouth you is worse than hearing it from strangers I don’t care about," Kim Heedo said, clenching his hands. "Isn’t the same for you, Hyung? I’m sure you’re more hurt by what Kim Hanhae said since Kim Hanhae is family to you."
Oh, right. freēnovelkiss.com
Sohee couldn’t deny it— he was hurt by Kim Hanhae’s words even though he had learned a long time ago to ignore bad things said about him.
"If you can’t get angry at Kim Hanhae because you’re too kind for your own good, then let me be angry on your behalf, Hyung," Kim Heedo said sternly. "I don’t care even if it’s my family— I’ll be angry at them and be loud about it if they hurt you."
Aww.
Sohee couldn’t help but smile. "Thank you, Heedo-ya. Can I talk to Kim Hanhae?"
"Well, you can, of course," Kim Heedo said hesitantly. "But that punk is in his rebellious phase, Hyung. What if he says something rude to you again? I might end up breaking his other shoulder then."
"I told you to stop saying violent stuff, Kim Heedo."
"Kim Hanhae will be fine, Hyung. Alphas heal fast."
"Yah."
Kim Heedo acted like he was zipping his mouth. "I’ll behave, Hyung."
"Very well," Sohee said, pleased that his husband was being obedient. "Let’s go, Heedo-ya."

SOHEE expected Kim Hanhae to give him the cold shoulders.
But, to his pleasant surprise, the child actually looked ashamed and remorseful.
I guess he doesn’t really hate me.
Anyway, Kim Hanhae looked pitiful since he had a sling now after getting treated for his broken shoulder.
"How are you, Hanhae-ya?" Sohee asked carefully while sitting on the chair next to the bed. "I mean, I know that you’re hurt. But I’m asking if your brother’s violence knocked some sense into you."
Kim Heedo, who was standing behind Sohee, cleared his throat.
His sister-in-law wasn’t there because Kim Haewon volunteered to buy snacks with Shin Kang and the other bodyguard.
But that’s just an excuse— Haewon just can’t stand the awkward atmosphere.
"I’m fine, Sohee Hyung-nim," Kim Hanhae said weakly, his gaze lowered as if he was afraid of the person standing behind Sohee. And, yes, that would be Kim Heedo. "Are you here to scold me?"
"This brat..."
Sohee raised his hand before his husband could even finish scolding Kim Hanhae. "Kim Heedo, quiet."
"Yes, Hyung."
"Why did you think I’m here to scold you, Hanhae-ya?"
"Because I said something bad about you, Hyung," Kim Hanhae said, his voice shaking a bit. "I won’t repeat it not just because I’m afraid of Heedo Hyung, but also because I realized how hurtful my words were. I’m sorry."
"Okay, I accept your apology."
Kim Hanhae finally lifted his head, and he looked shocked by Sohee’s quick acceptance of his apology.
On the other hand, Kim Heedo just sighed.
It sounds like Kim Heedo is already fed with my being a pushover.
But whatever.
"I also owe you an apology, Hanhae-ya," Sohee said, smiling apologetically at the kid. "I’m sorry for meddling with your personal affairs. I don’t regret informing your family about what I discovered about your relationship with a much, much older man. But I do regret not talking to you first. I’m sorry about that."
It looked like Kim Hanhae didn’t know what to say.
Hence, Sohee used that opportunity to talk more.
This is something I haven’t told Kim Heedo yet, but I feel like sharing my experience with Kim Hanhae.
And so he did.
"Hanhae-ya, I didn’t want you to end up like me," Sohee said carefully while clenching his hands. "When I was in my last year of middle school, I grew close to a teacher I trusted— a man in his thirties, double my age at the time." He then touched the back of his neck. "In the end, that bastard tried to force himself on me while claiming that he could "imprint" me— by biting my nape."
