The Alpha's Fated Mate Is an Outcast-Chapter 116
Chapter 116: Chapter 116
"Of course there is. But...it doesn’t mean that it won’t hurt still. This is mate bond between a dominant omega and a supreme alpha."
Elowen chuckled.
"What is the other way then?" she asked.
"I’ll soothe her pain away as much as I can. But when she wakes up in twenty-four hours, you will have to find a way to convince her to stay here willingly. The pain isn’t mostly from the idea that she wasn’t willing, but was rather taken forcefully from the man she loved—her mate. So..."
"So if we can convince her, enough that she’ll willingly stay, she’ll heal...slowly while also not being endangered?" Keona completed.
Elowen nodded at her. "Exactly. That is all you have to do. But if you’re unable to convince her, I suggest you take her back to him immediately. Or she will die. They are heavily bonded. And not just her will die, but the other party, Keelion Fane."
She lifted her hand to Alexis’ forehead and touched her there for a few seconds before grabbing her hand and cupping it to her chest that rose and fell with every strained breath she took.
Elowen proceeded to begin muttering words they couldn’t even understand and while she did, everyone sat in worry.
What guarantee was there that they would be able to convince Alexis? None of this had been shown in the vision by their mother.
Elowen stopped all of a sudden and rose to her feet. She smiled, her almost white eyes crinkling along and then she bowed specifically to Amora and Keona before rising again.
The two women blinked at each other. This witch...couldn’t know, could she?
That was impossible.
"She’ll wake up at twenty-four dot. Until then, don’t try to wake her, but please leave her alone."
They all nodded at her.
Elowen tied her silver hair into a bun and without saying another word, she left the room and closed the door behind her.
"So, we wait?" Kaelis asked.
The rest nodded.
"Looks like it."

Alexis peeled her eyes open. It took a few seconds before she was able to pinpoint the bright sky above her. It was the rainy season, she found it funny how the sky could be so bright and sunny.
Dragging herself up, she sat up on the beds of flowers she was laid on and looked around her.
There was nothing, just a massive field of flowers. She couldn’t see anyone else, not even a house or anything of the sort to indicate she wasn’t alone.
Where was she? It looked too beautiful to be real. If she had ever been to a place like this, she was more than sure that she would be able to remember it.
Drawing a deep breath, she stood up to her feet, adjusting the shirt she had on and tucking it into her pants. She was sweating and she wasn’t sure why. Maybe because of the sun?
Shaking her head, she began to walk off, but no matter how far she walked, she never seemed to make her way out of this field.
Was she stuck in it?
Fear should have been her first instinct, but for some weird reason, she felt oddly calm and at home in this place.
So instead of panicking, she began waving her arms as high as she could.
"IS ANYONE AROUND HERE?" she screamed over and over again.
Just when she was about to give up, she sighted someone walking over from afar. The person was approaching her directly, and she could tell because the person was waving at her.
A smile pooled on her face and so did relief.
While this place gave a sense of calm, it didn’t mean it wasn’t the least bit terrifying to find herself all alone, more so, that she couldn’t even tell where in the world she was. Could such a place exist?
"Hi!!" she screamed and the closer the person came, the wider her smile grew, that was until the face of the person fully came into her frame.
Her eyes rapidly flickered and before she could even register anything, she staggered back, dropping to the floor, gaze staring at the person now hovering above her.
"Alexis..."
Her heart pounded in her chest. "Mo...mom..."
Her mother was standing right in front of her, smiling down at her. She was in a lovely sun-coloured dress, one that matched her light brown eyes and she was smiling down at her, the way she always did.
She watched her kneel on the flower bed and proceeded to wrap her arms around her neck, hugging her. "I’ve missed you so much. But I’ve been watching you. Why cry so much?"
Alexis felt as if she heard her own heart shatter into pieces within her and as if a child, she began crying profusely, grabbing Eleni’s arm and burying her face into it.
"It’s all my fault," she sobbed. "If I had visited you every day. If I had come much earlier, you would still be with me. If I hadn’t—"
"Shhh." Eleni shushed her and cupped her cheeks, pulling back to stare at her teary face. "Nothing is your fault, baby. Not my death at all. Keelion is not at fault as well, so don’t blame him, okay? None of it was your fault or his fault. Gosh, you are such a softball."
A chuckle erupted from her and she endearingly ruffled her hair. "Listen to me, honey. Having you was the best thing that ever happened to me. And even in death, I couldn’t ask for me. You were the brightest daughter, the sweetest child, my beautiful baby girl. You were like heaven to me and no one had it all but me. An outcast or not, none of it defines you. What defines you is who you are internally and you are the most beautiful soul the goddess has ever created. I need you to understand that."
Alexis bawled her eyes out. This was a dream, it most definitely is, because it couldn’t be real."
"Alexis, look at me." Eleni caressed the side of her face. "You don’t have to be sorry or blame yourself. I am not angry with you, I never had a reason to, so let that guilt go. Okay? Tell me you understand."
Alexis nodded her head while trying to wipe at her tears. "I understand."
"Good girl."
"Who killed you?" she asked.
Eleni stilled unnaturally.
